Tom Selleck, in his role as small-town police chief Jesse Stone, returns to the home screen in JESSE STONE: BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT, the latest chapter of the popular TV franchise, debuting on DVD August 7th from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Adapted from characters created in the late Robert B. Parker’s best-selling novels, the new installment of the critically acclaimed crime drama leads audiences into a dark, suspenseful mystery in which Stone investigates the chilling case of a double homicide. Emmy® and Golden Globe® winner Kathy Baker (TV’s “Picket Fences”), Kohl Sudduth (TV’s “Grosse Pointe”), Gloria Reuben (TV’s “ER”), Stephen McHattie (Immortals), Robert Carradine (TV’s “Lizzie McGuire”), Saul Rubinek (TV’s “Warehouse 13”) and William Devane (TV’s “24”) also star in the TV movie.

SYNOPSIS:
The chief is back on the job. When a shocking double homicide rocks the quiet coastal town of Paradise, Massachusetts, Stone is forced back into action. With his police department nearly emptied of staff, he has to rely on his expert intuition to sort through a maze of misleading clues as he attempts to unravel two mysterious murders.
