The Black Crowes Southern Harmony And Musical Companion Deluxe Edition World-renowned rock band The Black Crowes released the box set of their chart-topping sophomore album, The Southern Harmony And Musical Companion, via American Recordings/UMe. The album, which entered the US Billboard album chart at No. 1 upon release in 1992, was named after a post-Civil War southern hymnal and is home to some of the band's biggest hits, including "Remedy," "Sting Me," and "Thorn in My Pride" which were #1 on the Billboard Main Stream Rock Airplay chart for a combined total of 21 weeks. Rich and Chris Robinson, alongside producer George Drakoulias, revisited the archives for the instant classic album. Phantom Power, The Tragically Hip's sixth album, was originally released on July 14th, 1998 and features three of the band's biggest career hits including "Bobcaygeon" which is recognized as one of the band's most enduring signature songs and won the Juno Award for Single of The Year in 2000 and "Poets" which spent 12 weeks at #1 on Canadian alternative radio plus "Fireworks" which is one of the band's great hockey connected tracks used in many synchs over the years.The Phantom Power 25th Anniversary boxset is bound to be the centerpiece of any collection featuring two double LP sets on 180g vinyl, with five never before heard tracks from the original recording sessions as well as a 2LP live show recorded from The Metropol in Pittsburgh, PA on October 2, 1998, plus an additional seven alternative versions curated by the band. Bob Marley and the Wailers - Catch A Fire 50th Anniversary Editions Catch A Fire, Bob Marley And The Wailers seminal first release on Island Records, universally regarded as the album which put reggae music on the global stage, is out now, as a beautiful deluxe edition via UMe. The release celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the album's original release in 1973. In addition three classic tracks, Slave Driver, Get Up, Stand Up & Stop That Train, all recorded live at the Wailer's legendary performance at the Sundown Theatre in the village of Edmonton, North London in 1973, are now live on the Bob Marley YouTube channel.Catch A Fire is the fifth studio album by Bob Marley and the Wailers and was the first to be released by Island Records UK. The album originally had a limited release and was credited to The Wailers. Housed in a memorable sleeve, in the shape of a Zippo lighter designed by graphic artists Rod Dyer and Bob Weiner, Catch A Fire's future versions would feature the classic portrait of Marley smoking a "spliff", taken by Esther Anderson. From then on, the artist credit was Bob Marley and The Wailers. After touring and recording in the UK with Johnny Nash, Nash's departure to the United States left the Wailers without enough money to return home. They approached Island founder and producer Chris Blackwell, who advanced them the money for an album and paid their fares back to Jamaica, where they recorded Catch a Fire. The album features nine songs, two of which were written by Peter Tosh and the rest by Bob Marley.
