Drama film CALL JANE arrives Dec. 6 on Digital and on Blu-ray, DVD Dec. 13 from LionsgateThe timely and poignant drama Call Jane arrives December 6 on Digital and December 13 on Blu-ray™, DVD, and Video on Demand from Lionsgate. Inspired by true events of Chicago’s underground abortion network known as The Jane Collective, Call Jane has received critical praise since the film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

Directed by Academy Award® and Primetime Emmy® nominee Phyllis Nagy (Academy Award®: 2015, Best Adapted Screenplay, Carol; Primetime Emmy®: Outstanding Writer & Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie, or Dramatic Special, Mrs. Harris), Call Jane features Academy Award® and Primetime Emmy® nominee Sigourney Weaver (Academy Award®: 1988, Best Actress, Gorillas in the Mist; 1986, Best Actress, Alien; Primetime Emmy®: 2021, Outstanding Narrator, “Secrets of Whales” miniseries), Primetime Emmy® nominee Elizabeth Banks (2015, Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series, “Modern Family”; also known for The Hunger Games film franchise, The Lego Movie), and Primetime Emmy® nominee Kate Mara (Primetime Emmy®: 2014, Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series, “House of Cards”; also known for Fantastic Four). OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS
Chicago, 1968. As a city and the nation are on the brink of political upheaval, suburban housewife Joy (Elizabeth Banks) and her husband and daughter are living the all-American dream. But Joy’s tranquil world is shattered when her life-threatening pregnancy forces her to navigate a medical establishment unwilling to help. This impossible situation leads Joy to the “Janes,” an underground network providing the only available alternative, helmed by fierce advocates Virginia (Sigourney Weaver) and Gwen (Wunmi Mosaku) — not only saving Joy’s life, but changing it forever.
