Digital Art Zone (DAZ) announced Genesis Supersuit, a revolutionary product which reinvents 3D clothing for its free software DAZ Studio. This single product allows users to create an almost unlimited number of costume designs. DAZ announced its free 3D software offering on Feb. 1, 2012, resulting in over 250,000 new users.
Using state-of-the-art shader technology, users can add an astonishing number of materials, from precious metals to fur. The product line offers a variety of pre-configured clothing sets for fantasy, superheroes and sci-fi or the user can create a costume from their own imagination. Built to support cross-platform modern 64-bit architecture, Genesis Supersuit is available from the DAZ store starting at $39.95.
“Genesis Supersuit is the biggest advance in 3D clothing technology since the original DAZ bodysuit,” said Matt Wilburn, DAZ’s chief marketing officer. “There’s never been a product like this in the marketplace. We have shown it to many of the world’s best 3D artists, and they are raving about the versatility and power of this product.”
At the heart of the Genesis Supersuit are almost 100 intelligent material zones which provide the most highly configurable 3D clothing available. Each zone can be changed for size, shape and material, resulting in almost unlimited combinations. These zones in the head and face can be morphed into helmets, masks or goggles. Zones in the body can be configured into anything from futuristic armor to furry costumes.
