(Nasdaq: INTU), offers customers on-demand assistance through a one-way video connection to a live TurboTax expert and CPAs or enrolled agents who can provide real-time, personalized answers. “With TurboTax, ‘do-it-yourself’ doesn’t mean you’re alone,” said Dan Wernikoff, executive vice president and general manager of Intuit’s TurboTax business. “With SmartLook, TurboTax has a breakthrough service that delivers human help, on demand in the palm of your hand. You get expert assurance so that you can be confident your taxes are done right and you’re getting every dollar you deserve.” TurboTax Online Deluxe, Premier and Self-Employed products for 2016 taxes include: * Expert Help On Demand: Allows customers to connect live, via one-way video, to a TurboTax expert and credentialed CPAs or enrolled agents to get personalized, real-time answers to their questions when they need it – at no additional cost. Screen sharing capability allows the TurboTax expert to show relevant information and highlight next steps right on the screen so customers can file with confidence. Bilingual experts speaking English and Spanish are also available. * Appointment Scheduling: Lets customers schedule an appointment with a tax expert at a time and date that works best for them. Customers who schedule an appointment receive an on-screen confirmation, reminder emails, texts and the ability to add the appointment to their calendar. * W-2 Snap and Auto-fill: Gives customers a jumpstart on their taxes with the snap of a photo. Whether filing from a smart phone, tablet or computer, customers can take a picture of their W-2 with their mobile device and TurboTax automatically puts their information directly into their tax return. Additionally, TurboTax securely imports tax information directly from more than 1.3 million employers and financial institutions, eliminating data entry and increasing accuracy. * CompleteCheck™: Delivers a comprehensive and streamlined review of a customer’s return. TurboTax CompleteCheck checks for missing, incomplete or conflicting information and then guides customers to easily fix errors before they file, giving them the confidence their tax return is done right. Pricing and Availability TurboTax Online and desktop products are now available and are up to date with the latest tax laws. Taxpayers can file now with TurboTax and their return will be held securely and submitted when the Internal Revenue Service begins processing e-filed returns on Jan. 23.
