| Warner Bros. Home Entertainment announces the Christopher Nolan Collection in 4K on December 19 | ||||||
 Seven acclaimed films from director Christopher Nolan will be available for the first time on 4K Ultra HD on December 19, it was announced today by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. “Batman Begins,” “The Dark Knight,” “The Dark Knight Rises,” “Inception,” and “Dunkirk” will be available from Warner Bros., featuring the films on 4K Ultra HD. “The Prestige” and “Interstellar” will be available on 4K Ultra HD from Disney and Paramount respectively.4K Ultra HD includes a range of features such as High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Wider Color Spectrum. These performance advances allow viewers to more accurately experience the filmmaker’s original vision, offering consumers brighter, deeper, more lifelike colors for a home entertainment viewing experience like never before. * “4K Ultra HD with HDR is an incredibly exciting new home video format that allows a much closer recreation of viewing the original film print,” said Christopher Nolan. “The deeper color palette comes closer to matching the analogue colors of film and we’ve restored the original theatrical mixes for this release. SYNOPSIS “Batman Begins” “Batman Begins” explores the origins of the Batman legend and the Dark Knight’s emergence as a force for good in Gotham. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act. But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Jessica Chastain and John Lithgow. “Dunkirk” “Dunkirk” opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in. The story unfolds on land, sea and air. RAF Spitfires engage the enemy in the skies above the Channel, trying to protect the defenseless men below. Meanwhile, hundreds of small boats manned by both military and civilians are mounting a desperate rescue effort, risking their lives in a race against time to save even a fraction of their army.
