 One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, the critically-acclaimed 1975 film from filmmaker Miloš Forman and starring Jack Nicholson in his first Academy Award-winning role, will be available for purchase Digitally in 4K Ultra HD and on 4K UHD Blu-ray Disc on November 11, timed to the 50th anniversary of the film’s release on November 19, 1975.Based on the 1962 novel of the same name by author Ken Kesey, the film is considered by critics and audience to be one of the greatest films ever made. One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest won all five major Academy Awards (Best Picture – Michael Douglas and Saul Zaentz; Best Actor – Jack Nicholson; Best Actress – Louise Fletcher; Director – Miloš Forman; and Screenplay – Lawrence Hauben and Bo Goldman) and in 1993, the film was deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" by the United States Library of Congress, and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry.
