This title is available at: * Website: MovieZyng.com * Amazon: Amazon.com I was pleasantly surprised by Anyone But You. In an era when theatrical romantic comedies have become increasingly rare, this charming crowd-pleaser manages to capture the magic of the genre while delivering plenty of laughs, heartfelt moments, and undeniable chemistry between its leads. Watching the film on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray gave me an even greater appreciation for its vibrant presentation and beautiful Australian locations. This release showcases the film at its very best and serves as an excellent addition to any modern movie collection.A Modern Romantic Comedy with Classic Charm Anyone But You stars Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell as Bea and Ben, two individuals who initially appear destined for romance before a misunderstanding drives them apart. Months later, fate reunites them at a destination wedding in Australia, where they agree to pretend to be a couple for their own personal reasons. What follows is a delightful romantic comedy filled with sharp banter, awkward encounters, escalating misunderstandings, and plenty of entertaining situations. What impressed me most about the film was the chemistry between Sweeney and Powell. Their performances feel natural and energetic, making it easy to invest in their journey from adversaries to reluctant partners and eventually something more. The screenplay blends humor and romance effectively, drawing inspiration from Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing while updating the story for modern audiences. The supporting cast also contributes significantly to the film's appeal, helping create an entertaining ensemble that keeps the momentum moving throughout the entire running time. Stunning Video Quality The 4K Ultra HD presentation is excellent and represents a substantial showcase for the format. From the opening scenes, the increased resolution reveals an impressive amount of detail in facial features, clothing textures, and the breathtaking Australian scenery. Beaches, coastlines, city skylines, and luxurious wedding venues all benefit tremendously from the high-definition presentation. Dolby Vision enhances the image even further, delivering vibrant colors and excellent contrast throughout the film. The bright blue waters, lush greenery, and sun-soaked landscapes are visually striking and frequently look postcard-worthy. Skin tones appear natural, while highlights remain bright and detailed without ever becoming harsh. The image maintains a clean, cinematic appearance from beginning to end, making this one of the more attractive romantic comedy releases currently available on the format. Immersive Audio Presentation While Anyone But You is primarily a dialogue-driven film, the Dolby Atmos soundtrack delivers a surprisingly engaging listening experience. Conversations remain crystal clear throughout the movie, ensuring that the witty exchanges between the characters are always easy to follow. Atmospheric effects are subtle but effective. Environmental sounds from beaches, harbor locations, restaurants, and large wedding gatherings help create a convincing sense of space. Surround channels are used thoughtfully to enhance immersion rather than draw attention to themselves. Although this is not the type of film that aims to overwhelm viewers with aggressive audio effects, the soundtrack provides a refined and polished presentation that complements the film perfectly. A Fun and Memorable Soundtrack One of the film's greatest strengths is its soundtrack. The music helps establish the film's playful and romantic tone while supporting the emotional beats of the story. The standout musical element is Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwritten," which becomes an important recurring presence throughout the film and contributes to several memorable moments. The songs are integrated naturally into the narrative and help elevate both the comedic and emotional scenes. Combined with the film's picturesque locations and charismatic cast, the soundtrack creates an upbeat atmosphere that remains enjoyable long after the credits begin to roll. Attractive Packaging and Bonus Features The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release arrives in attractive packaging that looks great on the shelf. The cover artwork effectively captures the fun and romantic nature of the movie, prominently featuring the two lead stars against the stunning Australian backdrop. The presentation feels consistent with Sony's recent premium catalog releases and reflects the lighthearted spirit of the film. The included bonus features add additional value for fans who want a deeper look behind the scenes. Featurettes, deleted scenes, bloopers, and commentary content provide entertaining insights into the production while highlighting the enjoyable atmosphere that existed among the cast and crew. These supplements help round out an already impressive release. Final Verdict I thoroughly enjoyed watching Anyone But You on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray. The film itself is an appealing blend of romance, comedy, and modern charm anchored by the irresistible chemistry of Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell. The gorgeous Australian locations, vibrant Dolby Vision presentation, immersive Dolby Atmos audio, and enjoyable bonus features make this the definitive way to experience the movie at home. For fans of romantic comedies, this release is easy to recommend. It delivers a strong presentation that enhances an already entertaining film, making Anyone But You one of the most enjoyable modern rom-com additions to the 4K Ultra HD format.
