The Spring season is here, which means the Easter holiday and Spring Break are upon us. This also means that the kids and young adults will be taking a break from school to be at home or on vacation. At least some of that time will be spent watching television shows and movies with family and friends. To help you find some quality entertainment related to the season, we've put together a list of some of the recent Blu-ray and DVD releases we thought you might find fun and interesting.

Rise of the Guardians
Dreamworks' newest animated adventure is a fun-filled and magical story about the legendary guardians – Jack Frost, the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy and Sandman – together for the first time. When the evil Pitch threatens to take over the world, it's up to our beloved heroes to protect the hopes and dreams of children everywhere. Filled with non-stop action and laughs, it's a dazzling family film that's being hailed as "an instant classic. You will believe." For more information, see Rise Of The Guardians or visit dreamworksanimation.com or paramount.com.

For Tweens and Teens
Next, we have some titles for the pre-teen and teenage crowd from Nickelodeon, including iCarly, Victorious, and Big Time Rush. Full of fun, laughs, and lots of music, your kids can relive their favorite Nick shows or experience them for the first time for those of you who don't have Nick TV.

iCarly
For iCarly fans, Nickelodeon has the first four seasons available on DVD. In the spirit of "Wayne's World", Carly and her best friend Samantha "Sam" Puckett turn a boring school assignment into a fun, creative and hilarious web-show. When their friend Freddie accidentally leaks a video of their antics on the web, Carly, an average 13-year-old girl, becomes an unlikely online celebrity. Embracing her popularity, Carly convinces Sam, her co-host and comedic sidekick, and Freddie, their technical producer, to turn "iCarly" into a weekly show... where they can finally do and say whatever they want. For more information, see Nickelodeon's iCarly on DVD or visit nickjr.com or paramount.com.

Victorious
For Victorious fans, Nickelodeon has the first two seasons available on DVD. Hit the stage with Tori Vega and all the amazing students at Hollywood Arts, the most prestigious performing arts high school in the country. From wowing the crowd at the big showcase to movie roles, stage fights, costume make-up and more, these talented students are ready to shine. For more information, see Nickelodeon's Victorious on DVD or visit nickjr.com or paramount.com.

Big Time Rush
For Big Time Rush fans, Nickelodeon has season one plus a double feature (Big Time Movie and Rags) available on DVD. "Big Time Rush" is a show about four best friends from Minnesota who unexpectedly fall into potential pop stardom. These four 16-year olds travel from the snowy mid-west to sunny L.A., where they move into "The Palm Woods", a swanky temporary housing development where film companies and record labels house their potential young ingenues and pop-wannabes. Once there they clash with Gustavo, an eccentric record executive who holds the key to their success. "Big Time Rush" is a show about friendship and brotherhood. It's about wish fulfillment, hard work, and having fun. It's about what it takes to make it "Big Time" AND what it means to fail. For more information, see Nickelodeon's Big Time Rush on DVD or visit nickjr.com or paramount.com.

For Young Adults and Parents
Last but certainly not least, we have a selection of titles for anyone 18 or older from Well Go USA, Warner Bros, and Sony Pictures. A Simple Life, The Nativity Story, and Smashed provide the drama and well-told stories that will make you experience a range of emotions.

A Simple Life
A man must care for a woman who has devoted her life to looking after him in this drama from filmmaker Ann Hui. Roger (Andy Lau) is a successful movie producer with a housekeeper, Ah Tao (Deanie Ip), who has worked for his family over the course of four generations. When Roger comes home one day to discover Ah Tao has suffered a severe stroke and is unable to care for herself, he agrees to help her relocate to a nursing home. He wants to help, but fears he'll fail her. She needs his kindness, but doesn't want to be a burden. As their roles reverse, he becomes her caregiver, and come to understand how much she means to him. For more information, see A Simple Life or visit wellgousa.com.

The Nativity Story
It was the cruelest of times. Under Herod's torturous reign, families struggled to survive and yet, in the midst of utter turmoil, a young woman's faith is put to the test. Join Mary (Keisha Castle-Hughes) and Joseph (Oscar Isaac) on an incredible journey of hope and discovery. Epic in its scope, yet intimate in it's portrayal of this historical family, this "wonderful film" (Bill Zwecker, Chicago Sun Times) is "a family feature that will be cherished for years to come!" (Greg Russell, WMYD-TV, Detroit). For more information, see The Nativity Story or visit warnerbros.com.

Smashed
A married couple find their love affair with alcohol threatening to unravel their relationship when the time comes to confront their addiction head on. Charlie (Aaron Paul) and Kate (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) are a fun-loving couple, but their heavy drinking is starting to become a problem. As Kate constructs a series of elaborate lies to conceal her addiction from her co-workers, her relationship with her mother begins to deteriorate. Realizing that she needs to get sober in order to pull out of her downward spiral, she finds that Charlie is reluctant to join her, and starts to see their relationship in a new light. For more information, see Smashed or visit sonypictures.com.

Happy Easter and Spring Break!
