USB hardware innovator Plugable Technologies today launched the industry’s first wave of USB-C docking stations with both Power Delivery and DisplayPort Alternate Mode support.
“USB-C’s two most radical changes are the ability to negotiate charging levels (up to 100W), and direct ownership of the wire for high performance displays, etc.,” said Bernie Thompson, Plugable Technologies’ Founder.
These features require hardware support in both the host system and the device.
