The Goldfinch debuts on Digital November 19 and on Blu-ray, DVD December 3 from Warner Bros.Nothing is ever exactly as it seems when “The Goldfinch” arrives on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital. A beautifully wrought coming-of-age story, intimate in its emotion and sweeping in its design, “The Goldfinch” is the film adaptation based on the Pulitzer Prize winning book of the same name.

Directed by BAFTA Award winner John Crowley (“Brooklyn,” “Closed Circuit”), the film features a multigenerational cast led by Ansel Elgort (“Baby Driver,” “The Fault in Our Stars”) as Theo Decker and Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman (“The Hours,” TV’s “Big Little Lies”) as Mrs. Barbour. The film also stars Oakes Fegley (“Pete’s Dragon,” “Wonderstruck”) as Young Theo, Aneurin Barnard (“Dunkirk,” TV’s “The White Queen”) as Boris, Finn Wolfhard (TV’s “Stranger Things,” “IT”) as Young Boris, Sarah Paulson (“The Post,” TV’s “American Crime Story”) as Xandra, Luke Wilson (“The Royal Tenenbaums,” “Legally Blonde”) as Larry and Jeffrey Wright (TV’s “Westworld,” “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1”) as Hobie.

Rounding out the main ensemble cast are Ashleigh Cummings (TV’s “Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries”) as Pippa, Willa Fitzgerald (“Little Women”) as Kitsey Barbour, Aimee Laurence (TV’s “Chicago P.D.”) as Young Pippa, Denis O’Hare (TV’s “American Horror Story”) as Lucius Reeve and Boyd Gaines (“Driving Miss Daisy”) as Mr. Barbour.

“The Goldfinch” is produced by Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson. Mari Jo Winkler-Ioffreda, Kevin McCormick, Sue Kroll and Courtenay Valenti served as executive producers. The screenplay is by Oscar nominee Peter Straughan (“Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy”), based on the novel by Donna Tartt.

The behind-the-scenes creative team included Oscar-winning director of photography Roger Deakins (“Blade Runner 2049”), Oscar-nominated production designer K.K. Barrett (“Her”), editor Kelley Dixon (TV’s “Breaking Bad”) and costume designer Kasia Walicka Maimone (“Bridge of Spies”). The music is by Trevor Gureckis (TV’s “Bloodline”).

“The Goldfinch” is a presentation of Warner Bros. Pictures, in association with Amazon Studios, a Color Force Production, a John Crowley Film.

The film will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on December 3. The Blu-ray features a Blu-ray disc with the film and special features in hi-definition and a digital version of the movie. The DVD features the film in standard definition and a digital version of the movie.

“The Goldfinch” will also be available on Movies Anywhere. Using the free Movies Anywhere app and website, consumers can access all their eligible movies by connecting their Movies Anywhere account with their participating digital retailer accounts. Fans can also own “The Goldfinch” via purchase from digital retailers beginning November 19.

SYNOPSIS
The last time 13-year-old Theo Decker (Oakes Fegley) saw his mother, she was gliding away from him into another gallery of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Seconds later, a terrorist bomb exploded destroying priceless pieces of art…and shattering Theo’s life forever. The tragedy changes the course of his life, sending him on a stirring odyssey of grief and guilt, reinvention and redemption, friendship and even love.
