LAMBERT & STAMP, the remarkable story of the unlikely partnership between aspiring filmmakers Kit Lambert and Chris Stamp, who managed and developed The Who, one of the greatest rock bands in history, debuts on Blu-ray™ , DVD & Digital HD August 18 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. From first-time documentarian James D. Cooper, the film follows the two young directors as they compare notes on film, music and frustrated ambitions, forging a friendship and collaboration along the way. Weaving between rare archival footage and present-day interviews with surviving principles, including The Who’s Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey, LAMBERT & STAMP examines the era and culture of the ‘60s and the creative bond of their unique friendship.

Bonus features include commentary with James D. Cooper, never-before-seen archival footage of The Who and a Q&A with Cooper and Henry Rollins of Black Flag.

Synopsis:
LAMBERT & STAMP tells the remarkable story of Chris Stamp and Kit Lambert, aspiring filmmakers who set out to find a subject for their underground movie, leading them to discover, mentor and manage the iconic band that would become known as The Who. They forged a complex and moving relationship, fueling the band’s artistic development, which would leave an indelible imprint on its time and on generations to come. The film is charged with a mad concoction of noise, love, rebellion, artistry and hilarity, as it takes us along on the surprise ride of two men who shaped one of the most exciting bands of all time.

LAMBERT & STAMP was directed by James D. Cooper. The film was executive produced by Loretta Harms and Mark Mullen with James. D. Cooper, Loretta Harms, and Douglas Graves serving as producers.

LAMBERT & STAMP has a run time of approximately 117 minutes and is rated R for language, some drug content and brief nudity.
