BloomSky, the next generation weather station and app created to change the way people experience and relate to the weather, today announced its official launch. Real-time images and stunning end-of-day time-lapse video from the HD camera provide ample content to be shared online by weather enthusiasts the world over. The 5-in-1 weather station and companion app comes to market under high demand following the successful completion of its beta testing period. In keeping with its crowdsourcing philosophy, the BloomSky weather station received its initial boost thanks to a wildly successful crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. The BloomSky Outdoor Weather Station and accessories are available to purchase now, both direct from www.bloomsky.com and Amazon. The free BloomSky Weather app can be downloaded on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

BloomSky's mission is to improve how people view and interact with the weather. The weather station -- with a built-in "sky camera" -- provides live views of the weather as well as important data to an in-depth app to achieve the future of crowdsourced weather accuracy. Users can see real-time weather photos of their home, business, or other place of interest (even some national parks!) from anywhere. The app also automatically generates daily time-lapse videos from each weather station so interested users can gain a more vivid understanding of weather patterns. Additionally, pictures and time-lapses are easily uploaded and shared via email, text (SMS) or social media directly from the mobile app.

BloomSky is the brainchild of the company's CEO and co-founder, Chinese-born Juntao ("JT") Xiao, a multi-award winning, internationally acclaimed designer. With BloomSky, JT has realized his vision of combining technology and beautiful product design to make the way we check and track the weather a much more emotive, visceral -- and ultimately more useful and accurate experience.

"We have such an emotional and profound connection to weather -- we pray the snow will be good, we love the feeling of the sun on our skin, and -- at least here in drought-ridden California -- we constantly search the skies for signs of rain," says JT. He continues, "And yet the way we analyze the weather has until now been very data driven and flat. We wanted to make tracking and analyzing weather much more of an experience, and much more collaborative; really we want to make it as exhilarating and exciting as the weather itself. In BloomSky, I believe we have achieved that."

In addition to joining the crowdsourced community, followers can find inspiration from BloomSky's blog, http://weatherlution.com.

The BloomSky App is available free for both iPhone and iPad on the Apple App Store, as well as on Android devices through Google Play. The Outdoor Weather Station is available to purchase at www.bloomsky.com and amazon.com at a starting cost of $149.
